Ralph Pickup qualified in 1997 and worked in hospital and general practice in Newcastle before joining the practice in 2002. He became partner in 2006. Ralph’s areas of special interests are implant restorative dentistry, endodontics (root canal treatment), and conscious sedation. He provides endodontic treatment on referral. Over the last 25 years, Ralph has continued his postgraduate education and was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2019. Ralph served as a Facilitator for the FGDP(UK) Fellowship. He is a Certified Membership Facilitator for the College of General Dentistry. Ralph is dedicated to leading a practice where dental care is delivered to the highest possible standards by an exceptional team of specialists, general dentists and dental care professionals.

Steven Schofield qualified in 1984 from Leeds University. Steven started working at the practice in 1985 and soon became partner in 1987. Steven has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry & occlusion, he gained a postgraduate qualification in this subject at UCLan in 2007. He retired from general practice in 2021. He retains a clinical practice in restoring dental implants. Steven is a self proclaimed pro golfer…though we don’t quite know how good he actually is! When Steve is off the golf course he likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters.
Mark Edmondson is a registered specialist in oral surgery. Mark qualified in 1991 at Manchester University and undertook surgical training at hospitals in East Lancashire. Mark achieved his fellowship in Oral Surgery in 1995 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mark joined our practice in 2001 and has since been providing dental implant treatment on referral in Clitheroe. Mark has won the Astra Tech Implant Scholarship which involved training in Sweden with Professor Karl Erich Kahnberg. Mark has a keen interest in all things fast paced…water skiing, fast cars all whilst listening to his favourite music.
Jonathan Kennair is in practice limited to oral surgery and dental implants. Jonathan graduated from Newcastle University in 2006 and joined our practice in 2017. Jonathan has worked in general practice, Salford Royal Hospital, the Royal Blackburn Hospital and taught at the University of Manchester. Jonathan has a post graduate course in conscious sedation, helping nervous patients. Jonathan has three children which keeps him very busy, he has a black belt in karate and has also completed three iron man triathlons
Mandie Procter joined our practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2002 and qualified in dental nursing in 2008. Mandie then became head nurse in 2015. Mandie is part of the oral surgery team and works closely with Dr Jonathan Kennair and Dr Mark Edmondson. Mandie leads a team of 11 dental nurses and ensures all training and professional development needs are met. Mandie is a keen horse rider and has competed in Lancashire – winning in their ridden hunter category.
Rebecca Nutter qualified in Newcastle dental school in 2014 and completed her postgraduate training in County Durham. She joined our practice in 2016. Rebecca provides a full range of general dental care services at the practice as well as orthodontic treatment using Invisalign Go. She is currently working towards her postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. Rebecca is committed to continuing education and obtained the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng) in 2018. When Rebecca isn’t renovating her home, she enjoys baking a gooey cookie and sitting with her two cats…doing absolutely nothing.
Sally Bradbury qualified in 2005 at Leeds University. Sally joined our practice in 2018. Sally had previously worked in both NHS and private practice in Leyland for 13 years. Sally enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is especially good with anxious patients. Sally enjoys going out for Sunday walks with her husband, two girls and dog, Barney. Sally also enjoys throwing some moves to the five megamix.
Anca Jarmany qualified from the University of Oradea, Romania in 2005. Anca practiced in and around the Scarborough area for ten years, before recently relocating to the Ribble Valley to be near her family. She has also supervised newly qualified dentists and is experienced in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. Anca is interested in all aspects of dentistry and has recently taken over Steven Schofield’s private and Denplan list. She enjoys treating patients of all ages. Outside of work Anca enjoys reading, gourmet cooking, yoga and meeting new people.
Christian Lee qualified from Manchester University in 2016. Since then, he has been practising general dentistry mainly in Liverpool and Manchester. During the pandemic Christian had the pleasure of providing dental care abroad in Iceland, as well as braving the cold weather Christian took on the challenge of learning to speak Icelandic – test him out when you meet him. Christian joined our practice shortly upon his arrive back to the UK. Christian is currently undertaking a post graduate certificate in restorative dentistry. Christian has recently had his first flying lesson and hopes to gain his flying license.
Navnish Sohal earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Universidad De Europea Valencia (Spain) in 2018 and has since been working in the East Lancashire region. Navnish recently joined our practice in 2022. She is a committed and professional dentist also known for her gentle nature and diligence. She continuously pursues professional development opportunities and training that allow her to gain knowledge about new dental practices and the latest technology available. Enabling her to offer a wide range of options o her patients’ focusing on oral health rehabilitation and minimally invasive approaches aimed at restoring function and aesthetics. Her consistent commitment to her vocation aligns with her passion to provide all aspects of general dentistry to a high level standard. Outside the office, Navnish enjoys trying new cuisines, staying active and spending time with family and friends.
Elaine Pickup qualified in 1994 at Leeds Dental Institute in dental hygiene, Elaine then joined our practice in 2000. Elaine is a caring and conscientious hygienist, with a special interest in challenging disease progression. Elaine enjoys helping patients reach their goal of excellent oral health. Elaine regularly attends courses to develop her skills and knowledge of periodontal disease and is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Elaine also has progressed her skills by attending numerous courses on Guided Biofilm Therapy (EMS) for Implant Maintenance and treating Periodontal Disease. Elaine has an avid interest fly fishing she also enjoys travelling.
Kate Ogden qualified in 1988 at Leeds Dental Institute in dental hygiene, Kate shortly joined the practice in 1989. Kate is up to date with all perio courses, she is very good with putting nervous patients at ease and providing a gentle but clinically thorough treatment, achieving superb results and happy patients. Kate is a big Land Rover enthusiast and loves antiques & home renovations. Need any cooking tips, Kate’s your lady!
Rachel Ferguson qualified in dental hygiene and therapy at Liverpool University in 2010. Rachel joined our practice in 2011 and enjoys treating patients periodontal (gum) disease. Rachel is trained to use the state of the art EMS Airflow and Perioflow technologies to treat her patient’s periodontal disease in the least invasive way. In her spare time Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and paddle boarding.
Adelle Morrison qualified with distinction in dental Hygiene and Therapy at Liverpool University in 2012, where she was awarded best clinical hygienist and radiologist. Adelle joined our practice in 2020. Adelle has since undertaken training in tooth whitening and air polishing. Outside of work Adelle enjoys spending time with her family, horticulture, cooking and travelling.
Fatima Patel qualified in dental hygiene at Leeds University in 2000. Fatima joined the practice in 2019. Fatima enjoys meting patients and helping them achieve great perio. Fatima’s kind and gentle approach enables patients to feel safe and confident in her work. Fatima loves spending time at home, walking and reading.
Kathryn Bann qualified in dental Hygiene and Therapy from Liverpool University in 2007. Kathryn has 14 years experience working in private general dental practice. Kathryn is passionate about improving gum health, she loves working as a Dental Hygienist as she can help patients to improve and maintain their oral health, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping nervous patients achieve their goals. Kathryn has furthered her knowledge and has an additional certificate in Dental Implant Hygiene. In Kathryn’s spare time she enjoys long distance running; completing her first marathon in 2020 to raise money for charity, road cycling and hill walking with her dogs.
Susan Blatchford started as a trainee dental nurse in 1988 and qualified in dental nursing in 1992. Susan later joined our practice in 1997 as both dental nurse and receptionist. In 2007 Susan focused mainly on the administration side of our practice and left dental nursing. Susan has recently become Admin Lead alongside Grace. Susan enjoys working with her colleges and speaking with our lovely patients. Outside of work Susan’s hobbies are baking, days out walking and reading.
Grace Barratt joined our practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2017 and qualified in dental nursing in 2018. She is also responsible for our Social Media output. Grace enjoys all aspects of her job roles but especially interacting with our patients. Grace is a self proclaimed shopaholic who also enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter going on long walks…and stopping into the nearest ice cream shop.
Laura Conti joined our practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2005 and qualified in dental nursing in 2008. Laura became implant coordinator in 2011 and later attained her post qualification in sedation in 2012. Laura works alongside Mandie as part of the oral surgery team, Laura enjoys witnessing a patients journey throughout every stage. Outside of work Laura enjoys spending time with her daughter, partner, friends and family. Laura also enjoys shopping, eating out and travelling anywhere warm.
Chelsea Heal joined our practice in 2021 as a dental nurse. Chelsea qualified in 2018 and is currently taking her post qualification in Sedation. Chelsea has recently joined the oral surgery team at the practice working alongside both Dr Edmondson and Dr Kennair. Chelsea is looking forward to learning new skills in oral surgery. Outside of work Chelsea enjoys eating food, specifically cake and pie, and spending time with her family.
Lisa Blackburn joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2007 and qualified in dental nursing in 2009. Lisa enjoys all aspects of the ‘patient journey’. Making sure a patient is happy and comfortable. Lisa also enjoys seeing the confidence shine through once a patient has gone through aesthetic treatment. Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends and horse riding.
Farhana Mahmood joined the practice as a dental nurse in 2020. Farhana is a fully qualified dental nurse who has been nursing for 20 years. Farhana also has a post qualification in oral health education and fluoride application. Farhana finds it extremely satisfying when a patient leaves the practice happy and with a new found confidence following dental treatment. Outside of work Farhana enjoys walking and hiking.
Mollie Schofield joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2019, Mollie gained her dental nursing qualification in 2021. Mollie enjoys working as part of a team and helping patients. Outside of work Mollie enjoys spending time with her friends and walking her dog.
Samantha Riley qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and joined the practice in 2022. Outside of work Sam teaches competitive dance and spending time with her two children.
Taylor joined the practice as a receptionist in 2019. Taylor enjoys meeting many different patients that travel all over the country to visit our practice and making sure all patients are looked after and are happy with their dental journey. Outside of work Taylor enjoys socializing with friends and family – spending time on long walks with her dog and enjoying good food.
Sana Sarwar joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2024.
Weronika joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2024.
Nayyab joined the practice in 2024. Her role includes dental instrument decontamination and sterilisation.
